The Practice is holding its first COVID vaccination clinic at Wallingford Community Hospital on the afternoon of Wednesday 23 December. This is for our most vulnerable patients aged 80 years and over and they will need to attend three weeks later – on the afternoon of the 13 January at the same time as their initial appointment – for their second vaccination (at Wallingford Community Hospital) to ensure maximum protection.
Those eligible will receive a booking appointment from the Practice team. We are carrying this vaccination programme out as part of our Primary Care Network – working with the Medical Practices at Wallingford and Benson. We have been allocated 975 COVID vaccines for this first clinic to be shared amongst the three Practices. As a result we are not able to vaccinate all of our patients aged 80 years and over at this time. The doctors have clinically prioritized those to attend. As soon as we have news of a further delivery of the vaccine, those patients remaining in this age group will be contacted by our team.
